How we make money
Running 14-day tests takes a lot of time. Here is exactly how this site pays for it.
Affiliate links
Some buttons on this site, like "Try it free", are affiliate links. If you sign up for a paid plan through one of them, the software company may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra.
Affiliate links are marked with a note next to the button. When we don't have an affiliate deal with a company, the button says "Visit official site" and we earn nothing from it.
Ads
We may show ads in the future. Ads are always labeled, and advertisers have no say in what we write.
What money can't buy here
- A review, or a better score.
- A spot on one of our "best for" lists.
- Removing a con or a problem we found during testing.
We test apps with or without an affiliate deal, the same way. If an app we earn money from does badly in our test, the review says so.
